I’m a huge hip hop fan, and i always will be. I listen to jazz too, old skool mind u, the rat pack kindda thing. ( Dad’s influence). But you gotta hear this guy out, kindda slow tune with the whole unplucked strings guitar gig and all, but i gotta give it to him, he’s good… I heard it while viewing this girl on Youtube, she Vlogs and she’s funny as hell!! Hey, I liked this, even though it’s a tad bit popish for my usual taste! He’s got a great mellow sort of voice. Reminds me sort of Jack Johnson in that aspect.
Agree about how social media can ‘give the small guys the “big break” ‘ and it works across so many industries – music, journalism, tech and all. Of course, it works both ways too, making or breaking a person’s reputation.
I’m just wondering long will it take before it’d get old selling yourself on YouTube. Wonder what the next alternative marketing channel will be then!

I say social networking sites with open soial is gonna be the next marketing channel, haha, these ‘small guys’ ought to form a soial networking site with all the apps from open social they can use to spread their music faster!
Interesting. But isn’t it still relying quite a bit on the “pull” appoach…they still have to get people to go to the page to view the video. “Good news” does not travel as quickly as “bad news” — when it’s a “break reputation” situation, word goes around quickly and everyone wants to take a look. BTW, I can’t stand the song!
